Originally tested by Felice Nazzaro, who famously described it as “uncontrollable,” the S76 later achieved a one-way speed of 132.27 mph in 1913, earning an unofficial title as the world’s fastest car. After decades lost to history, the Beast was painstakingly recreated by Duncan Pittaway using original Fiat drawings and surviving components. In 2015, it roared back to life at the Goodwood Festival of Speed — the first time it had run in almost a century.
